A suggestion of how to get your bird to eat Harrison’s. Chico loves these!

3 cup Harrison’s fine
2 cups fresh juice (organic, no sugar added)

Pour into mixing bowl and stir.
Let sit for 30 – 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add and stir in
-½ cup organic honey
-1 ¼ cup Mixed Organic seeds (which includes the following to total 1 ¼ cup)
- Organic sunflower seeds
- Organic Crushed Oats & Groats
- Organic Millet
- Organic hulled sesame seeds
- Organic pumpkin seeds
- Organic rolled oats
-1 cup Granola (no added fat, salt & little sugar as possible, try Capers)

Spread the mixture approximately 1 inch thick into a 9" x 13" stainless pan (or glass oven proof pan), pre-sprayed with a very light coat of Pam Fat Free cooking spray (DO NOT use spray around birds, bad for respiratory system, yours too), and press down firmly until tightly packed. Cook in pre-heated 350° oven for 1 hour & 10 minutes, watch during final 20 mins of cooking time, done when inserted knife comes out clean and Birdycakes are a light golden colour. (will be consistency of oatmeal squares) Let sit in pan and chop up into handy birdy-foot size chunks while still slightly warm. Cool completely and remove from pan. Freezes well. These Birdycakes must be frozen if you make a lot at once since the ingredients have no preservatives, keep a fresh/defrosted supply in the fridge for a few days use.
